Prep students viewed and discussed artworks by Australian artist Cheryl Bruce. Her campfire dreaming series features children playing around a campfire in watercolour.
The subject and ideas of these works prompted student’s engagement through sharing their personal experiences around a campfire. The artworks created are student’s interpretation of their personal experiences through coloured pencil or ‘mock up’ at home campfire settings. In both contexts, the joy and story-telling through their art is evident.
The artwork in this exhibition was produced during a period of off-campus learning.
