Philanthropy plays a vital role in the life of Melbourne Grammar School.
Without your continued generosity, both to our new initiatives and the School’s purpose over the years, students would not have access to such a breadth of opportunities that enrich their education, strengthen their sense of belonging and help them realise their potential.
Earlier this year, I was honoured to succeed Julian Smith as President of the Melbourne Grammar School Foundation. As I step into this role, I do so with a deep appreciation for the generations of Foundation members, donors, volunteers and leaders whose commitment has helped create such opportunities for students and strengthen the School community.
This year has marked an exciting new chapter as the School’s comprehensive fundraising campaign, The Courage of Ideas, entered its community phase.
The success of the campaign, which so clearly articulates the School’s mission to develop independent thinkers, I believe speaks highly of how the School’s values and purpose continue to guide us all.
Through your support of scholarships, the Jack Morrow Centre for Humanities, exceptional staff, sport performance, the arts and the Future Fund, donors are helping bring the campaign’s vision to life: developing young people with the confidence to think independently and the character to make a positive contribution to the world.
On behalf of the Foundation Board, thank you for your support and trust. Your generosity is creating opportunities for students today while helping ensure Melbourne Grammar School remains a place of learning, belonging and possibility for generations to come. I look forward to sharing the continuing impact of your philanthropy in the years ahead.

President, Melbourne Grammar School Foundation
