Held in the Club Pavilion Room at the RACV Club on Friday 30 April at 7.30am, The Old Melburnians 2021 Business Breakfast was a sell-out success.
Pre-breakfast conversations were at a fever pitch as Old Melburnians caught up with old friends, after a year without many opportunities to see one another.
Guest speaker, John Wylie AM, renowned investor, philanthropist, Principal of alternative asset investment firm Tanarra and parent of three Melbourne Grammar students had our audience transfixed with his presentation, which focused on the theme of ‘taking risks’. John talked at length about taking risks in finance, in sport, and in embracing Australian Indigenous culture.
Being generous with his time, John thoughtfully answered questions from the audience, which consisted of Old Melburnians at many different stages of their careers.
Our guests overwhelmingly agreed that the Old Melburnians Business Breakfast is a terrific way to expand your professional business network, catch up with friends, listen to an expert, all while eating a delicious hot breakfast and (at least for those working in the CBD) with the added bonus of being able to make it back to your desk by 9.05am.
